Tomorrow marks the release of the first Title Update for Monster Hunter Wilds, introducing quests that encourage players to compete for the fastest clear times. In anticipation of this update, Capcom has issued a strong statement against cheating, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining a fair and enjoyable gaming environment.
In a recent post on their official X/Twitter account, Capcom warned players about the consequences of engaging in fraudulent activities: "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests."
Capcom also highlighted that participating in multiplayer hunts with cheaters could lead to invalid quest completion times and the revocation of rewards for all party members. They advised players to be cautious and avoid playing with those suspected of cheating, urging them to report any fraudulent activity they encounter.The new quests will offer attractive rewards, including cosmetic pendants. Some rewards will be available to all participants, while others will be awarded based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This explains Capcom's stringent measures against cheating, as it directly impacts the fairness of reward distribution and competition.

The Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja, starting with Title Update 1.
