A renowned card game for three players, using a 24-card deck.
Current game agreements include:
- A player requires 880 points to claim a barrel.
- Points are cleared after three unsuccessful attempts to play a barrel round.
- A player receives a bolt if they score zero points in a round.
- Accumulating three bolts results in a 120-point penalty.
- If a player surrenders, they incur a penalty equal to the statement value, while each of the other two players receives half that amount.
The game features the following adjustable settings:
- The winning threshold is set above 1000 points.
- Points are cleared upon reaching exactly 555 or -555 points.
- The option to play a barrel round on one's own turn, without bidding from opponents (detailed below).
- A new card deal is triggered if the talon or a hand's point value falls below a set threshold.
- The ace marriage rule is enabled.
- The golden round rule is active.
- Support for simultaneous barrel play scenarios.
Playing a Barrel on "Own Turn":
A player with 880 points may declare a barrel round if it is their "own turn".
A turn is considered "own" when the player holds the first right to bid.
In this case, the player automatically wins the bidding and takes the talon, regardless of other players' card strength.
If the barrel round is lost, it counts as an unsuccessful attempt and a 120-point penalty is applied.
After three unsuccessful attempts, the player's points are reset to zero.
If a player qualifies for a barrel but it is not their "own turn", play continues normally. They score no points, and the round does not count as an attempt.
The game allows multiple players to simultaneously have 880 points and be eligible for a barrel.
In such a scenario, the player whose turn it is has the priority to play the barrel round.
