Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero Set for Nintendo Switch 2, Saudi Ratings Hint

by Mia May 29,2025

It seems that Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, the highly anticipated fighting game inspired by Akira Toriyama's iconic anime and manga series, is rumored to be heading to the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. While no official announcement has been made, a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation, noticed by the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, suggests otherwise. The tweet, which confirmed a 12+ rating, read: "Experience the fighting action in the latest game Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, featuring 3D battles and storylines that change based on your choices."

Despite its removal, this snippet indicates that the game is likely making its way to the new console. Boasting an impressive roster of playable characters, each with unique abilities, transformations, and signature techniques, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero aims to elevate the legacy of the beloved Budokai Tenkaichi series. In our review, we awarded it a score of 7/10, noting its nostalgic charm and the joy of revisiting simpler gaming times.

Meanwhile, Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders officially launched on April 24, priced at $449.99. Demand skyrocketed, leading Nintendo to issue a warning to U.S. customers via the My Nintendo Store, stating that delivery for pre-ordered units wasn’t guaranteed due to overwhelming interest.
