12BT, also known as 12 Tehni, is a strategic two-player board game.
12BT (Traditional Game) is a chess-like game for two players. Each player commands 12 pawns, with movement governed by two key rules: First, if surrounding positions are vacant, a pawn (called Bead/Tehni/Guti) may move freely. Second, players can capture an opponent's pawn by jumping over it. Victory is achieved by capturing all 12 of the opponent's pieces.
12BT shares similarities with Draughts (also called Checkers or Dame), the Arabic game Alquerque (القرقات/Qirkat), Halma, Chinese Checkers, and Konane. While Draughts uses a different board setup, players familiar with it or Alquerque (القرقات) will easily adapt to 12BT.
