Four-Card Golf Rules
A competitive two-player card game where strategy meets memory
Mirroring real golf, the objective is to finish with the lowest score possible
Each match consists of nine rounds. Players start with four face-down cards, while the remaining deck forms the draw pile. The top card begins the discard pile face-up.
During setup, players may peek once at their two closest cards in the square layout. These cards remain secret, and players can't review them again unless discarding or scoring them.
On your turn, draw from the deck to replace any layout card (without seeing the card being replaced). Discard the replaced card face-up. Alternatively, you may draw and immediately discard without changing your layout.
When drawing from the discard pile, you must use that card to replace one in your layout. You cannot return it unused.
Players may choose to knock, ending their turn. Other players continue normal play but cannot knock afterward, concluding the round.
Scoring:
- Matching card pairs (same value) in rows/columns score 0 points
- Jokers: -2 points
- Kings: 0 points
- Queens/Jacks: 10 points
- All other cards count as their face value
- Four identical cards: -6 points
Six-Card Golf Rules
Another thrilling two-player golf variation
The goal remains: achieve the lowest score possible
Nine rounds per game. Players receive six face-down cards initially, with the rest forming the draw pile and one card starting the discard pile.
Players begin by revealing two cards, then strategize to reduce their score through smart swaps or column pairings of equal ranks.
Each turn involves drawing from either pile. Swap drawn cards with yours (face-down cards become face-up when replaced) or discard unused. Rounds end when all player cards are face-up.
Scoring:
- Paired cards in columns: 0 points
- Jokers: -2 points
- Kings: 0 points
- Queens/Jacks: 20 points
- Other cards: face value
Gameplay controls: Tap cards to swap with discards. Draw from deck by tapping, then choose to discard or swap.
