Lana Del Rey Performs Original Title Theme
On April 18, 007 First Light unveiled its official title sequence on YouTube, featuring "First Light," an original track by Lana Del Rey and David Arnold.Arnold returns to the Bond franchise after scoring five previous films, helping define its signature sound. Hakan Abrak, CEO of IO Interactive, noted in an April 16 press release that the collaboration feels instantly “Bond” while establishing a fresh identity for 007 First Light.
Highlighting the theme’s significance, Arnold said, "James Bond music has always been central to his identity. A title song must introduce the world we’re entering—captivating us and drawing us in." This continues the tradition of major artists performing Bond themes, following Adele’s “Skyfall,” Sam Smith’s “Writing’s on the Wall,” and Billie Eilish’s “No Time to Die.”
Exploring Bond’s Origins
Developed by IO Interactive, 007 First Light centers on a 26-year-old James Bond at the start of his career, prior to earning his 00 status. Instead of depicting the seasoned spy from previous films, the game explores a younger, more impulsive Bond as he navigates MI6 and learns the ropes of espionage.
007 First Light releases on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on May 27, 2026, with Nintendo Switch 2 support arriving later in summer. For updates, see our related article below.
