Ubisoft Mainz has just lifted the curtain on more intriguing details about Anno 117: Pax Romana with a captivating new trailer. Initially announced with two regions to explore—Lazio and Albion—the latest preview suggests that Lazio serves as the initial setting before players transition to the main focus, Albion.
Creative Director Manuel Rainer shared that Lazio starts as a tranquil region, but a sudden disaster forces players to venture into uncharted territories. These new lands are none other than Britain, or Albion, known for its harsh climate, defiant tribes, and its remote distance from Rome, which presents significant governance challenges.
In the game, you step into the shoes of a governor, tasked with navigating these challenges without solely relying on force. Instead, fostering peace by respecting and integrating with local customs is encouraged. One of the game's standout features is the ability to customize your ships strategically. Players can opt for faster travel by employing more oarsmen or increase their offensive capabilities with archery turrets.
Anno 117: Pax Romana is set to launch in 2025, and will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X, promising an immersive experience for fans of the franchise and newcomers alike.
