Pokémon GO enthusiasts, get ready for the Sweet Discoveries event, which promises to be a delightful addition to your Pokémon adventures. This event marks the exciting debut of Applin, a must-have for collectors and those hunting for shiny Pokémon.
When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?
The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and continues until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. This event introduces Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon hailing from the Galar region, to the world of Pokémon GO.
To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. Alternatively, evolving it into Appletun requires the same number of candies and 20 Sweet Apples. For those looking to evolve Applin to Dipplin and ultimately to its final form, Hydrapple, be prepared for these candy and apple requirements.
A key aspect of the event is the availability of Tart Apples and Sweet Apples in the wild. By tapping on them, you might encounter a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Your chances of finding these apples increase significantly near Mossy Lure Modules.
Did You Know?
Applin is a unique Pokémon that spends its entire life inside an apple, cleverly disguising itself from bird Pokémon, its natural enemies. This charming trait makes Applin one of the cutest Pokémon in the entire roster of Pokémon GO.
The Sweet Discoveries event also brings new avatar items to the shop, including an Applin Headband and an Applin Apron. As for event bonuses, you'll enjoy double Candy for every Pokémon caught during the event.
Keep an eye out for increased chances of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild. Additionally, there's a higher probability of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs.
Another sweet addition to the event is that catching Delibird or Skwovet will result in them dropping berries, adding an extra layer of fun to your gameplay. If you haven't already, make sure to download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store to join in on the fun.
