Patel further clarified that the consequences of player choices in Avowed are deeply intertwined with exploration and the political landscape of Eora's Living Lands. "The stories connecting these two worlds are what I find most compelling," she added.

Players assume the role of an Aedyran Empire envoy tasked with investigating a spiritual plague while simultaneously pursuing their own political ambitions. "Meaningful roleplay comes from giving players rich content to explore," Patel stated. "It's about defining who your character is and how they react to the situations they encounter."

Beyond the intricate RPG mechanics, Avowed features strategic combat blending magic, melee weapons, and firearms. "The abilities and weapon combinations you choose drastically alter each playthrough," Patel noted.
