Larian Studios has officially announced that the much-anticipated Patch 8 for Baldur's Gate 3 will be released on Tuesday, April 15. After undergoing extensive stress testing, the update is now ready for all players to enjoy.

Patch 8 brings a wealth of new content to the critically acclaimed Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game. Players can look forward to 12 new subclasses, a photo mode, cross-play functionality, and split-screen support for Xbox Series S. For a detailed look at what's new, be sure to check out the Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 patch notes.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 8 New Subclasses:

Bard - College of Glamour
As a College of Glamour Bard, you'll have the ability to both heal your allies and manipulate your enemies. With Mantle of Inspiration, you can grant your allies 5 temporary hit points, and if an enemy attacks while this is active, they may become Charmed. Leverage Mantle of Majesty to command these charmed foes to flee, approach, freeze, drop to the ground, or disarm themselves.

Barbarian - Path of Giants
Choose the Path of Giants for your Barbarian and harness the power of giant strength. With the Giant’s Rage passive, you'll gain increased strength and size, boosting your Throw attack damage and carry capacity.

Cleric - Death Domain
Embrace the dark arts as a Death Domain Cleric, wielding spells that deal necrotic damage and three new necromancy cantrips. Toll The Dead causes 1-8 damage, scaling if the target is already injured. Additionally, you can now explode nearby corpses to damage enemies.

Druid - Circle of Stars
Circle of Stars Druids draw power from the constellations, adopting one of three Starry Forms: the Archer, Chalice, and Dragon. Each form offers unique abilities, from dealing radiant damage with astral arrows to healing and enhancing constitution rolls.

Paladin - Oath of the Crown
As an Oath of the Crown Paladin, you're sworn to uphold the law. Use Righteous Clarity to guide your allies in battle, Divine Allegiance to absorb damage and restore health, and strategic interrupts to taunt enemies.

Fighter - Arcane Archer
The Arcane Archer combines magic and archery, featuring new shooting animations and abilities like banishing foes to the Feywild or inflicting Psychic damage that can blind enemies.

Monk - Drunken Master
The Drunken Master Monk can drink alcohol to recover Ki, both from inventory and around the Sword Coast. Use Intoxicating Strike to buff your Armour Class and hit chance against drunk targets, and Sobering Realisation to deal physical and Psychic damage.

Ranger - Swarmkeeper
Swarmkeeper Rangers can summon three types of swarms: Cloud of Jellyfish for lightning damage, Flurry of Moths for Psychic damage and potential blindness, and Legion of Bees for piercing damage and knockback. Each swarm also grants teleportation capabilities.

Rogue - Swashbuckler
The Swashbuckler Rogue introduces actions like throwing sand to Blind enemies, flicking weapons to Disarm, and using Fancy Footwork to avoid opportunity attacks during melee combat.

Sorcerer - Shadow Magic
Shadow Magic Sorcerers thrive in darkness with Superior Darkvision and the ability to Shadow Walk. Summon the Hound of Ill Omen to harass foes and use Strength of the Grave to stay in the fight, perfect for Honour Mode runs.

Warlock - Hexblade
Hexblade Warlocks form pacts with Shadowfell entities, manifesting magical weapons. Curse enemies and raise their spirits as summons that deal necrotic damage and heal you by draining enemy souls.

Wizard - Bladesinging
Bladesinging Wizards blend swordplay with spellcasting, featuring new animations, the Bladesong ability for enhanced speed, agility, and focus, and a bonus to Constitution saving throws.
