Originally released on the PlayStation in Japan and North America in 2000, followed by Europe in 2001, the game made its way to PC in Europe and Japan in 2003. This beloved title centers around Ryu, a protagonist with the unique ability to transform into a dragon, who joins forces with other warriors to thwart an emperor's destructive ambitions.
As part of their ongoing Preservation Program, GOG has meticulously updated Breath of Fire IV for today's PC users. The game is now available DRM-free on their platform, fully optimized for modern systems with compatibility for Windows 10 and 11. This enhanced version offers both English and Japanese localizations, alongside upgraded graphics facilitated by an improved DirectX renderer.
