The Bug Out event is making a thrilling return to Pokémon Go from March 26th to 30th, featuring an exciting array of Bug-type Pokémon and the debut of Sizzlipede and its evolution, Centiskorch. This event promises a packed schedule filled with wild encounters, raids, bonuses, and new challenges that will keep you engaged throughout.
During the Bug Out event, Lure Modules will be crucial. Not only will they attract Sizzlipede, but if enough Pokémon are caught using a single Lure Module at a PokéStop, it will boost the number of Pokémon appearing there.
You can also look forward to earning double XP and extra Candy for Nice Throws or better, with enhanced Candy XL chances for trainers at level 31 and above. Shiny hunters will have a better chance of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede.
The wild will be teeming with Bug-types, including frequent appearances from Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, and Nymble. If luck is on your side, you might even spot Cutiefly.
In one-star raids, you'll encounter Sizzlipede, Scyther, and Nincada, while three-star raids will feature Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor. Completing event-themed Field Research tasks will reward you with Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event Pokémon.
Make sure to take advantage of the free Timed Research opportunity, which includes encounters with Shedinja, Sizzlipede, Kleavor, and more, along with a Lure Module. For those seeking additional rewards, there's a Paid Timed Research option available for $2 (or the local equivalent), offering encounters with Heracross, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor, plus two Premium Battle Passes and an extra Lure Module.
Don't miss out on the new Collection Challenges, which will reward you with Stardust, XP, and Pokémon encounters, as well as the PokéStop Showcases that will highlight event-themed Pokémon. Also, be sure to check out the in-game shop for the new Sizzlipede Boots and Scolipede Jacket to complete your Bug Out look.
