Monster Hunter Wilds Surpassed 8 Million Units in 3 Days
Monster Hunter Wilds Is Now Capcom’s Fastest Selling Game
Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) has set a new benchmark for Capcom, becoming the company's fastest-selling game by selling over 8 million units in just three days since its release. Capcom proudly announced this achievement on their official website, marking a historic milestone for the company.
The game’s success on Steam has been equally impressive, reaching over 1.3 million concurrent players despite receiving mixed reviews. According to SteamDB, this success can be attributed to Capcom's extensive promotional efforts, including showcasing the game at global video game events and conducting an open beta test. These strategies effectively demonstrated the game's potential to a wide audience.
Latest Update Addressed Game-Breaking Bug
In response to player feedback, Capcom has released a crucial update for MH Wilds. On March 4, 2025, Monster Hunter’s official support account, Monster Hunter Status, announced via Twitter (X) that the hot fix patch Ver.1.000.04.00 is now available across all platforms.
This patch addresses several critical bugs that were hindering player progress. Issues such as the "Grill a Meal" and "Ingredient Center" features not unlocking as intended, the inability to access the Monster Field Guide, and a game-breaking bug in Chapter 5-2 "A World Turned Upside Down" have been resolved. Players are required to update the game to continue enjoying online gameplay.
However, not all bugs have been fixed in this update. Some multiplayer-related issues, including a network error when firing an SOS flare after starting a quest and Palico’s blunt weapon attacks not causing stun and exhaust damages, remain unresolved. Capcom has assured players that these issues will be addressed in a forthcoming patch.
