Civilization VII Release Schedule Remains on Track

Firaxis Games and 2K have announced that the highly anticipated turn-based 4X strategy game, Sid Meier's Civilization VII, has achieved "gold status." This milestone signifies the completion of primary development, virtually guaranteeing a timely release on February 11th. The game boasts Steam Deck verification and will launch across all contemporary platforms.

Civilization VII introduces several compelling updates for longtime fans. Reviewers generally praise these innovations, highlighting the new Legend system as a particularly welcome addition. This system rewards players for completing campaigns, aiming to encourage playthrough completion – a challenge often faced due to the series' extensive gameplay.

While belonging to a niche genre, Sid Meier's Civilization VII is among the year's most eagerly awaited titles, although its pre-release buzz doesn't quite match the phenomenal hype surrounding Grand Theft Auto VI. Priced at the standard $70, pre-orders are currently open.
