The release date of Dying Light: The Beast has been delayed by four weeks to allow for additional polishing. It will now launch on September 19, 2025.
Developer Techland announced that Kyle Crane’s brutal zombie-slaying journey will reach players slightly later than planned, shifting from its original August 21 release date.
The studio explained the decision in a blog post: “Our goal has always been to make Dying Light: The Beast the best Dying Light game we’ve ever created. To honor that promise, we’ve decided to move the release date to September 19, 2025, to dedicate more time to polishing.”
“We understand this may be disappointing,” the Polish studio added, “but our experience has shown how critical the first impression truly is. With just four more weeks, we can refine the final details that separate good from great—fine-tuning gameplay balance, improving UI clarity, enhancing physics quality, polishing cutscenes and player animations, and adding those final little touches.”
Alongside the announcement, Techland confirmed that The Beast will be playable in a public demo at this year’s gamescom, and that next week they’ll share more updates on the game’s progress—with a deep dive into its gore. Tasty.
