Cognido: A University Project That Conquered the App Stores

Developed by university student David Schreiber, Cognido is a solo-developed, multiplayer brain-training game that's rapidly gaining popularity. Offering fast-paced matches against friends and strangers, Cognido presents a diverse range of challenges, from simple math equations to trivia and beyond.

With an impressive 40,000 downloads already under its belt, Cognido's success is both remarkable and easily explained. The game taps into the enduring appeal of brain training games, although its squid-like mascot, Nido, may not quite match the comforting presence of Dr. Kawashima.

Made in Germany and Available Globally

Unlike many university projects destined for oblivion, Cognido offers both free and premium gameplay options. While a subscription unlocks the full Cognido experience, a free trial allows potential players to test the waters before committing.

A significant update is on the horizon, introducing a new "Clash" mode for competitive brain battles amongst four to six players.
