TouchArcade Rating: Red Nexus Games' roguelike pachinko game, Peglin (Free), made its debut on the Nintendo Switch yesterday, as part of a Nintendo Indie World showcase. The 1.0 version also simultaneously launched on Steam. I downloaded the Switch version, and while a full review is pending, Peglin has now officially reached version 1.0 on iOS and Android, following its Switch and Steam releases.
This significant update includes the final Cruciball levels (17-20), a new forest miniboss, a new rare roundrel relic, extensive balance adjustments, revised dull peg mechanics, altered bestiary research rates, and much more. The complete patch notes are available on the game's Steam news page.
For those unfamiliar with Peglin, check out the gameplay trailer below:
While Peglin has reached version 1.0, further updates are planned. I'm eager to see what Red Nexus Games has in store for the future. For those interested, my previous iOS review from last year's launch can be found here, along with an interview with the developers discussing the game, pricing, and more here.
Peglin is free-to-try on mobile. Download it on the App Store (iOS) here and Google Play (Android) here. It was previously our Game of the Week upon its initial release. The game is also available on Steam here and Switch here. Join the discussion on our forum thread to share your thoughts on the iOS version.
Have you played Peglin on mobile or PC? What are your impressions of this substantial update?
