CrazyGames is thrilled to announce the launch of the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025, kicking off this week from April 25th to May 5th. This exciting 10-day event, in partnership with Photon—the world's leading multiplayer service provider—invites indie developers from around the globe to participate in a dynamic game development marathon focused on creating innovative web-based multiplayer games.
Participants in the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 will have the chance to compete for a share of €10,000 in cash prizes and premium Photon licenses. The prize pool includes a 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (valued at €7,500), a 500 CCU for a year (valued at €1,500), and a 100 CCU for a year (valued at €100). The only requirements for the event are that games must be developed and submitted within the jam period and must adhere to PEGI 12 rating standards, leaving developers free to unleash their creativity.
Since its launch in 2014, CrazyGames has become the go-to platform for free online gaming, leveraging technologies like HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGL to provide seamless gaming experiences across thousands of titles. Alongside Photon, CrazyGames will support participants throughout the event and offer winners the chance to have their games published on the platform.
To gear up for the jam, a pre-jam livestream will be broadcast on YouTube and LinkedIn on April 24th at 4 pm CEST. This session will provide insights into two new WebGL platforms, Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Photon Engine's Head of Growth, highlighted the potential of these platforms, stating, "Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world’s most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a good opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform."
Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to game developers of all experience levels. For more information and to register, visit the official jam page.
