In the mid-2010s, Daredevil's three-season run on Netflix immersed viewers in the gritty underworld of Hell's Kitchen, earning acclaim as one of Marvel's highest-rated series. This made Netflix's 2018 cancellation particularly surprising.
While Charlie Cox's Daredevil has since made cameos in lighter MCU entries like She-Hulk and Spider-Man: No Way Home, few anticipated a full-fledged solo series revival. Yet the hero has indeed returned - now on Disney+, but with Marvel's promise of maintaining the character's signature intensity.
