Celebrating With Special Wallpapers, Acrylic Sets, And A Body Pillow

Assassin’s Creed’s iconic protagonist, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, has been crowned the winner of Ubisoft Japan’s Character Awards! This online competition, held in honor of Ubisoft Japan’s 30th anniversary, aimed to identify the most beloved characters from their extensive catalog. Voting kicked off on November 1st, 2024, and fans were invited to visit the official Ubisoft Japan website’s special 30th anniversary page to select their top three favorites.

The top five results were unveiled today on Ubisoft Japan’s official website and X (formerly Twitter), with Ezio securing the top spot. To celebrate this achievement, a dedicated page on the site now features Ezio in a unique artistic style. Fans can also download four free digital wallpapers for PC and smartphones, showcasing the legendary assassin. Additionally, 30 lucky fans will be selected via lottery to receive an exclusive acrylic stand set of Ezio, while another 10 will win a coveted 180 cm jumbo body pillow featuring Ezio’s image.

In addition to Ezio, Ubisoft highlighted the other nine characters that made it into the top ten. Watch Dogs’ protagonist, Aiden Pearce, claimed second place, with Edward James Kenway from Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag coming in third.

Here is the full list of Ubisoft Japan 2025 Character Awards’ top ten characters:

  • 1st: Ezio Auditore da Firenze (Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed Liberation)
  • 2nd: Aiden Pearce (Watch Dogs)
  • 3rd: Edward James Kenway (Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag)
  • 4th: Bayek (Assassin’s Creed Origins)
  • 5th: Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad (Assassin’s Creed)
  • 6th: Wrench (Watch Dogs)
  • 7th: Pagan Min (Far Cry)
  • 8th: Eivor Varinsdottir (Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla)
  • 9th: Kassandra (Assassin’s Creed Odyssey)
  • 10th: Aaron Keener (The Division 2)

Moreover, a separate poll was conducted to rank Ubisoft’s game series as franchises. Assassin’s Creed emerged as the winner, followed by Rainbow Six Siege in second place and Watch Dogs in third. The Division series took fourth place, with Far Cry rounding out the top five.
