Gamescom 2024 Will Not Feature Silksong

Team Cherry's highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong will be absent from Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024, according to Gamescom producer Geoff Keighley. This confirmation, delivered via X (formerly Twitter), dashed the hopes of many eager fans.

Silksong's Absence Confirmed

The initial Gamescom ONL lineup, which included a "+ More" suggesting unannounced titles, fueled speculation that Silksong might finally receive an update after a prolonged period of silence. However, Keighley's subsequent tweet definitively stated, "Just to get this out of the way, no Silksong on Tuesday at ONL." He did, however, reassure fans that Team Cherry remains dedicated to the game's development.

While the lack of Silksong news is undoubtedly disappointing for fans, the Gamescom ONL still boasts an impressive lineup, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Monster Hunter Wilds, Civilization 7, MARVEL Rivals, and more.
