GeoDefense Inspires New Tower Defense Game: Sphere Defense

Sphere Defense: A Classic Tower Defense Experience on Android

Tomnoki Studio's Sphere Defense is a new tower defense game for Android, drawing inspiration from the timeless geoDefense. The developer, a fan of the original, sought to recreate its elegantly simple yet challenging gameplay.

The Story

Earth, or "The Sphere," faces imminent destruction at the hands of alien invaders. Humanity, forced underground, has finally developed the firepower to fight back. Players lead the counteroffensive, defending the planet from wave after wave of enemies.

Gameplay

Sphere Defense faithfully delivers the core tower defense experience. Players strategically deploy various units, each with unique strengths, to repel incoming foes. Successful defenses earn resources for upgrading and expanding arsenals. The difficulty scales progressively, demanding increasingly sophisticated strategies.

The game offers three difficulty levels (easy, normal, hard), each comprising 10 stages lasting 5 to 15 minutes. See the gameplay in action:

Diverse Unit Arsenal

Sphere Defense features seven distinct unit types, offering strategic depth through combinations. These include:

  • Standard Attack Turret: Single-target damage.
  • Area Attack Turret: AoE damage against groups of enemies.
  • Piercing Attack Turret: Effective against tightly packed enemy formations.
  • Cooling Turret & Incendiary Turret: Support units that enhance attack unit effectiveness.
  • Fixed-Point Attack Unit & Linear Attack Unit: Support attack units providing precise and area-of-effect missile/laser strikes.

Download Sphere Defense from the Google Play Store and experience the thrill of strategic tower defense. Also, check out our latest news on CarX Drift Racing 3's new Android features.
