by Evelyn May 04,2025

For seasoned *Stardew Valley* farmers, the Greenhouse is a pivotal asset in revitalizing the family farm to its past glory. Here's a comprehensive guide on how many plants the Greenhouse can hold in *Stardew Valley*.

What Is the Greenhouse in Stardew Valley?

The Greenhouse, unlockable by completing Community Centre bundles or via the Joja Community Development Form, is a vital feature located on your farm. It becomes available after completing the six bundles in the pantry of the Community Centre, magically restoring overnight for immediate use. This structure transcends seasonal limitations, allowing any plant from any season, including fruit trees, to flourish year-round. This provides constant access to high-value crops, especially those with multiple harvests. Once planted, these crops will continuously yield gold unless manually removed by the player.

The interior of the Greenhouse offers space around its perimeter for fruit trees, chests, and equipment like Seed Makers. The main area features 10 rows and 12 columns of tillable land, perfect for various crops. The capacity for plants or crops in the Greenhouse depends on whether Sprinklers are utilized.

Without Sprinklers, the inner section can accommodate up to 120 crops or plants, alongside 18 fruit trees along the exterior. Fruit trees don't require watering and will thrive as long as they are spaced two tiles apart.

When Sprinklers are employed, the number of plants that can be grown changes. Sprinklers are a time-saving tool, freeing up time for other activities in Pelican Town.

The number of Sprinklers needed to cover the entire inner section varies by type and placement, with the option to place them on the wooden border:

  • Sixteen Quality Sprinklers cover all crops, occupying twelve inner tiles.
  • Six Iridium Sprinklers cover all crops, occupying four inner tiles.
  • Four Iridium Sprinklers with Pressure Nozzles cover all crops, occupying two inner tiles.
  • Five Iridium Sprinklers with Pressure Nozzles cover all crops, occupying one inner tile.

With strategic planning, the Greenhouse can significantly enhance farm productivity, enabling the cultivation of up to 120 crops year-round.
