In *Avowed*, treasure maps guide you to exciting rewards, and the first one you'll likely encounter is the Intimidating Feline Codpiece Map. Here's how to complete it and claim your prize.
Where to Get the Intimidating Feline Codpiece Map in Avowed
Upon arriving at the Living Lands, you'll meet Garryck and possibly Ilora, along with your first trio of merchants. One of them, Lynna, will have the "Treasure Map - Intimidating Feline Codpiece" available for purchase at 115. Once bought, you can find it in the Documents section of your Journal under Paradis.
The map's intriguing backstory reads, "My husband spent a fortune on this stelgaer codpiece to spice things up in the bedroom. Now he’s dead on account of a weak heart. I want nothing to do with that tasteless (though brutally effective) garment, so I leave it to the gods to find a worthy bearer." This adds a unique flavor to your quest.
Where to Find the Intimidating Feline Codpiece Map’s Treasure in Avowed
Start your journey from the Gods’ Gate Beacon, located east of Paradis and north of the Southern Embrace. Navigate around the Yellowband Camp, as the encounter can be challenging for under-leveled players. Follow the southern and eastern edges of the camp until you reach a fork in the road. Take the right path.
You'll come across a boarded-up area. Break the boards and open the chest to your left to uncover the treasure.
What the Intimidating Feline Codpiece Map Gives You
The chest contains several items, including the coveted Stelgaer’s Pride + 2, Golden Scelling (6), Silver Fenning (8), a Common Arquebus, Bear Claw, Pelt (2), and Softwood Branch (2).
The Stelgaer’s Pride armor, the primary reason for your quest, offers the following stats:
Armor Type | Stats | Abilities | Upgrade Requirements | Break Down | Weight |
Medium, Unique | 18% Damage Reduction, 9 Additional Damage Reduction, -35 Maximum Stamina, -30 Maximum Essence | Bloodied Fury: Cast Barbaric Shout when taking damage greater than 30% of your Maximum Health Lesser Relentless: +5% Stamina regeneration rate | Pelt (28), Paradisan Ladder (6) | Pelt (10), Paradisan Ladder (6) | 18 |
What Builds Should Use the Stelgaer’s Pride Armor?
The Stelgaer’s Pride Armor is available early in *Avowed*, making it an excellent choice for early-game physical builds. If you're playing as a spellsword, like I did, you'll find it quite beneficial, at least initially.
And that's how you complete the Intimidating Feline Codpiece map in *Avowed*. Enjoy your adventure and the unique rewards it brings!
