How to Respec Your Character in Avowed (& When You Want To)
Choosing your character's path at the start of a game can be challenging. It's hard to predict which style will be the most enjoyable. That's why respeccing is essential. If you're not satisfied with how your character is performing, consider respeccing. In Avowed, I initially went for a full wizard build but found it too challenging, so I switched to a spellsword. Later on, you might want to respec to optimize your combat effectiveness and achieve your ideal build.
How to Respec Your Abilities in Avowed
To respec in Avowed, navigate to the "Abilities" section in the menu. At the bottom of the screen, you'll find the "Reset Points" option. The initial cost is 100 Copper Skeyt, which increases as you progress. Click the button, confirm, and pay the listed price to reset all your ability points across all skill trees, except for the "Godlike" abilities, which are fixed and gained through in-game choices.
How to Respec Your Attributes in Avowed
If you're satisfied with your abilities but not with your attributes, or if you're looking to overhaul everything, head to the "Character" section in the menu. At the bottom, you'll find a button to respec your attributes and the associated cost, starting at 100 Copper Skeyt. Click the button, pay the cost, and enjoy your reset attribute points.
How to Respec Your Companion in Avowed
To respec your companion in Avowed, go to the "Abilities" section in the menu and select the "Companions" tab. Below your companion's name, you'll see an icon indicating the cost in Copper Skeyt. Click the button, confirm your choice, and you'll recover all of your companion's points. Remember, you'll need to respec each companion individually.
