Gungeon Games Hit Android This Summer with Online Co-op

Enter the Gungeon and Exit the Gungeon are making their way to Android this summer, bringing intense bullet-hell action to mobile players. The beloved dungeon-crawling duo from Dodge Roll and Devolver Digital will arrive with several new features and enhancements tailored for mobile gameplay.

Developed by XD Network—with close collaboration from Dodge Roll and Devolver—the upcoming Android versions ensure a smooth and authentic experience. XD previously worked on the Chinese mobile releases of both titles, and now they’re delivering the full global launch with added polish and features.

Pricing & Availability

  • Enter the Gungeon will be available globally on Android for $8.99
  • Exit the Gungeon, its fast-paced arcade spin-off, will retail at $4.99
Both titles were originally exclusive to consoles and PC, with Exit the Gungeon previously being an Apple Arcade exclusive.

What’s New in the Mobile Versions?

For the first time ever, Enter the Gungeon introduces online co-op multiplayer—a major upgrade over previous versions that only supported local co-op. This opens up the chaotic fun to players around the world.

Additionally, fans can look forward to playing as The Lamb, the iconic protagonist from Cult of the Lamb. In the mobile edition, The Lamb comes equipped with brand-new abilities and a unique weapon, blending seamlessly into the Gungeon universe.

Release Date & Progression Details

Mark your calendars: both games are set to launch on Android August 15th, 2025.

Each game adopts a try-before-you-buy model, letting you play through the first chamber for free. During this trial, you can unlock items and carry your progress forward if you decide to purchase the full version later.

Please note: progress cannot be transferred from PC or console versions. Additionally, the Cult of the Lamb crossover content is exclusive to the mobile editions—for now.

Controls & Accessibility

Both titles support external controllers, which is especially helpful for Enter the Gungeon, known for its precise twin-stick mechanics. For touch-only players, optional auto-aim functionality is included to make aiming easier and keep the challenge fair.

Exit the Gungeon, being more arcade-oriented, adapts very well to mobile controls. Its compact design and quick sessions make it ideal for on-the-go play.

Pre-register now for both games on the Google Play Store.
