In the wake of the troubled launch of Infinity Nikki's version 1.5, developer Infold Games has stepped forward to address the community's concerns and offer compensation. Fans eagerly awaited the update, but it fell short of expectations, leading to widespread disappointment. In a Twitter (X) post dated May 18, Infold Games acknowledged the "unstable game environment and unsatisfactory content" and detailed their plans to make amends.
Free Diamonds as Compensation
Version 1.5 introduced a host of technical issues and bugs that plagued players across various platforms, some of which made the game unplayable. Additionally, sudden system changes increased the cost of 5-star outfits, requiring 11 pieces instead of the previous 9 or 10, thus raising the number of pulls needed to complete an outfit to 220. This change significantly impacted the time and resources players needed to invest.
A new dye system was also rolled out, which many found confusing and cumbersome, requiring individual color palettes to be unlocked for each clothing item. Furthermore, the Threads of Reunion storyline was removed as the associated outfit remains in development. Infold Games admitted, "Due to technical hurdles in Version 1.5, we were unable to properly refine the introduction of the Sea of Stars chapter and the narrative setup for Threads of Reunion, which regrettably led to confusion."
In response to player feedback, Infold Games announced, "As compensation for Version 1.5's shortcomings and schedule changes, all stylists will receive Diamond *120 and Energy Crystal *1 every day from June 5 to June 12, totaling Diamond *960 and Energy Crystal *8." Despite this gesture, fans are still awaiting a detailed plan to address the ongoing issues, with many voicing their concerns about the pity system, the dye system, and other bugs in the comments.
Delayed Version 1.6
Due to the problems with version 1.5, Infold Games has decided to extend its duration to allow more time for fixes. Consequently, version 1.6 has been postponed until June 12, 2025, which will also delay the in-game events. The new weekly task, Starlit Pursuit, initially planned for May 20, will now be introduced in version 1.6. Infold Games stated, "This delay allows us to refine task mechanics for a smoother experience. Additional details will be announced at a later date—please stay tuned." As compensation for this delay, players will receive 360 Starlit Crystals.
More Unlisted Adjustments On The Way
Infold Games is actively working on additional, unlisted adjustments to address the myriad issues caused by version 1.5. They noted, "There are also unlisted adjustments under discussion. Some changes require extended development cycles, but we commit to implementing them through phased updates." To enhance communication with the player base, they are launching the Miraland Round Table initiative. Players can submit their concerns and feedback directly to the developers via email with "Table Advisor" in the subject line or through the in-game Customer Service option.
Infold Games expressed, "We feel guilt over delayed promises, yet gratitude for your unwavering support." They are committed to making the game "shine brighter than ever."
