In an intriguing revelation, David Koepp, the screenwriter behind the iconic 1993 Jurassic Park and the upcoming Jurassic World Rebirth, has confirmed the inclusion of a previously unused sequence from Michael Crichton's original Jurassic Park novel. In a conversation with Variety, Koepp shared that he revisited Crichton's novels to reconnect with the franchise's roots, especially since Jurassic World Rebirth lacks a direct source novel.
Koepp admitted to incorporating elements from the books into the new film, specifically mentioning a sequence from the first novel that was considered for the original movie but ultimately left out due to space constraints. "There was a sequence from the first novel that we’d always wanted in the original movie, but didn’t have room for," he explained. "We were like, ‘Hey, we get to use that now.’"
While Koepp kept the specifics of this sequence under wraps, the news has sparked a flurry of speculation among fans. Various scenes from the novel have been highlighted as potential candidates for inclusion in Jurassic World Rebirth.
