High on Life 2 Announced for PC, PS5, Xbox, Game Pass

by Patrick Jan 12,2026

High on Life 2 has just been unveiled at the Xbox Games Showcase 2025, with a planned release this winter for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, including availability on Game Pass.

This follow-up to Squanch Games' irreverent shooter sees the developer revisiting its vibrant, cartoon-inspired first-person action.

The original High on Life debuted in 2022 to a mixed critical reception, alongside controversy surrounding Justin Roiland's involvement. Despite this, it performed strongly on Xbox Game Pass, and last year, rumors pointed to an animated High on Life series in development.

High on Life 2 continues the original adventure after you successfully dismantled a rogue space cartel. But there's no time to relax.

"When a shadowy figure from your past returns and targets your sister, your peaceful life is thrown into turmoil," the game's description states. "Do you have the courage to risk everything and expose an intergalactic conspiracy that again endangers your favorite species—humanity?"

Today's announcement also teased an all-star comedic voice cast, with further details expected soon. For more updates, see all the major reveals from the Xbox Games Showcase in June 2025.
