Marvel Game Gets Spookier With Enhanced Updates

Marvel Contest of Champions is celebrating Halloween in a big way this year, adding spooky new characters and challenges to mark its 10th anniversary. This chilling update introduces Scream and Jack O’ Lantern as playable champions, each with their own unique and terrifying backstories.

A Spooky Halloween Event

The House of Horrors event plunges players into a dark mystery alongside Jessica Jones, culminating in a nightmarish carnival encounter. Simultaneously, Jack O’ Lantern hosts “Jack’s Bounty-full Hunt,” a gladiator-style side quest filled with weekly challenges and branching paths. This event runs from October 9th to November 6th.

10th Anniversary Festivities

The Halloween event is intertwined with Marvel Contest of Champions' 10th-anniversary celebration. Kabam is commemorating this milestone with ten major game reveals, including character reworks (Medusa and Purgatory), the Deadpool-themed Ultimate Multiplayer Bonanza (Alliance Super Season with bounty missions), and the Venom: Last Dance event (October 21st to November 15th). Anniversary Battlegrounds Season 22 is also underway, offering new buffs and critical hit advantages until October 30th.

60 FPS Update on the Horizon

A significant improvement is on the way: a 60 FPS gameplay update launching on November 4th, promising smoother, more fluid combat. Currently, the game is capped at 30 FPS.
