Marvel Rivals Fans Are Using the Invisible Woman to Detect Alleged Bot Matches

by Eleanor Mar 19,2025

The newly released Invisible Woman in Marvel Rivals is unexpectedly revealing something players suspect: bot opponents. For weeks, the community has debated the presence of AI opponents, believing NetEase Games might be using them to maintain player engagement. This speculation intensified with Season 1's introduction of Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman last Friday. However, the new heroes brought more than just meta shifts.

Reddit user barky1616 shared a video showcasing an unusual Invisible Woman tactic. The clip shows Sue Storm turning invisible and inexplicably blocking enemy movement simply by standing in their path. The AI opponents don't attempt to circumvent her until she becomes visible again, at which point the fight resumes normally. This bizarre interaction fuels the bot theory, suggesting AI opponents struggle with basic pathfinding.

While this Invisible Woman trick might not work consistently, the video has sparked significant discussion. The community is grappling with the possibility of a widespread bot problem in Marvel Rivals.

NetEase hasn't confirmed the presence of AI opponents. IGN has contacted NetEase for comment regarding these allegations.
