Rey Dau, the first dragon monster you'll encounter in Monster Hunter Wilds, wields the lightning element, rendering it immune to lightning-based attacks. However, it's vulnerable to water and ice. Aim for its head, which has a 4-star weakness, or its wings, with a 3-star weakness, for maximum damage. Avoid targeting its sturdy torso and well-protected legs. Instead, consider hitting its tail if the head is too difficult to reach. For status ailments, all are effective except Stun and Paralysis, given its lightning nature.
Use a Flash Pod
A key strategy to swiftly defeat Rey Dau is deploying a Flash Pod. This tool temporarily stuns the monster, allowing you to land critical hits. When Rey Dau unleashes its lightning attack, target its glowing red horns in Focus Mode for significant damage.
