Meta Stops Selling Quest Pro VR Headset

by Caleb Feb 04,2025

The Meta Quest Pro is officially discontinued. Meta's website now reflects its unavailability. While some units may linger on store shelves, they're expected to disappear soon. The high price point ($1499.99) significantly hampered its adoption, unlike the more affordable Meta Quest line ($299.99-$499.99).

The recommended alternative is the Meta Quest 3, touted as the "ultimate mixed reality experience." Priced at $499, it offers superior specs, including higher resolution, refresh rate, and a more powerful processor, compared to its predecessor. It's also lighter. The Quest 3 maintains the mixed reality focus, allowing users to overlay virtual displays onto the real world. Furthermore, the Quest Pro's Touch Pro controllers are compatible with the Quest 3. For budget-conscious buyers, the Meta Quest 2S, starting at $299.99, provides a more affordable option with slightly reduced specifications.
