On larger maps, the Parabolic Microphone is invaluable for locating ghosts by sound. It detects various ghost-related noises: object throwing, door movement, and vocalizations. It can also fulfill optional objectives requiring ghost voice recordings. Furthermore, it’s essential for identifying ghosts like the Deogen or Banshee, whose unique sounds are only detectable with this microphone.
