State of Play Event Set for February 12

by Oliver May 13,2025

Sony has exciting news for gamers: a PlayStation State of Play stream is scheduled for tomorrow, February 12, at 2pm Pacific / 5pm Eastern / 10pm UK. This eagerly anticipated broadcast will run for over 40 minutes and will be available in both English and Japanese on the official PlayStation YouTube and Twitch channels.

Although specific game details remain under wraps, the PlayStation Blog teases that the event will feature "a creative and unique selection of exciting games from studios around the world." Fans are particularly hopeful for an extended look at Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Yotei, and eagerly await a release date for Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.

There's also buzz about an official reveal of the release date trailer for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, following its recent leak on the PlayStation Store. While it might be premature to expect updates on Insomniac’s Wolverine or Naughty Dog’s Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, there are other titles that could make an appearance.

Phantom: Blade Zero, an exclusive action role-playing game from Chinese studio S-Game, is expected to showcase its thrilling sword combat, with fans eager to learn its release date. Additionally, Bungie’s Marathon and Haven’s Fairgames are multiplayer shooters that have caught the community's eye, especially in light of Sony's recent handling of the Concord situation.

With March marking the 10th anniversary of Bloodborne, there's a whisper of hope that Sony might have something special in store for fans of this beloved title. Moreover, the event could hold one or two brand-new surprises and game reveals. Amidst swirling rumors, could this be the day Halo finally makes its debut on PlayStation consoles?
