The Pokémon Company has officially responded to the challenges fans have faced in obtaining recent Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) sets. In a recent announcement, the company confirmed plans for reprints and emphasized their commitment to delivering products to fans more effectively.
The latest Pokémon TCG set, Destined Rivals, encountered numerous issues including shortages, pre-order complications, and scalping activities. Similarly, other sought-after sets such as Prismatic Evolutions and the Blooming Waters box have been hard to come by due to high demand.

In a statement on their official website, The Pokémon Company acknowledged the difficulties some fans are facing in purchasing certain Pokémon TCG products due to overwhelming demand. "We understand this inconvenience can be disappointing for fans, and we are actively working to print more of the impacted Pokémon TCG products as quickly as possible and at maximum capacity," the statement explained. "Reprinted products are expected to be available at participating retailers as soon as possible."
The company also committed to "maximizing production" for upcoming TCG expansions to enhance product availability at launch and to continue reprinting affected products to restock, including for the Pokémon Center.
Addressing the issue of scalping indirectly, The Pokémon Company mentioned its efforts to ensure a smooth purchasing experience at the Pokémon Center. "We are committed to providing a smooth purchasing experience and employ technology that helps get products into the hands of fans first and foremost," they stated. This includes using a virtual queue system during high traffic periods on the site.
"We will continue to explore measures that help create the best possible experience for Pokémon Center customers," the company added. They expressed gratitude to the community for their continued support and patience as they strive to improve the availability of Pokémon TCG products.
