by Samuel Mar 21,2025

Respawn Entertainment, in collaboration with Bit Reactor—a studio founded by former XCOM developers—will unveil their new Star Wars tactical strategy game on April 19, 2025, during Star Wars Celebration in Japan. This highly anticipated announcement promises fans an exciting first look at the project.

Initially confirmed in 2022, details have been limited. Recent reports indicate the game uses Unreal Engine 5 and features turn-based combat, delivering a deep tactical experience within the Star Wars universe.

Despite EA's layoffs earlier this year, developers reassured fans in March 2024 that development continues unaffected. The reveal is expected to include key details and a trailer showcasing gameplay and visuals.

The official event website lists a developer panel hosted by Bit Reactor, Respawn Entertainment, and Lucasfilm Games. Scheduled for 4:30 PM–5:30 PM local time on the Galaxy Stage, this session offers an exclusive first glimpse of this turn-based tactical adventure. Fans are encouraged to watch live.
