Silksong Developer Reaffirms Release For Switch 1
Following Silksong’s brief appearance at the Nintendo Direct for Switch 2 on April 2, fans speculated that the game might bypass the current generation and launch directly on the next-gen console. Initially announced in 2019 for PC and the original Switch, Team Cherry later confirmed releases for PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
To address these concerns, Team Cherry's Marketing and PR Handler, Matthew Griffin, took to Twitter (X) on April 8 to clarify that Silksong will indeed be released on both the Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
While specifics on how these versions will differ have not been disclosed, players can anticipate that the game will benefit from higher resolutions and improved features on the Switch 2.
