Sonic Rumble Kicks Off First Crossover Event Before Global Release
Sonic Rumble isn't waiting for its worldwide launch on May 8th to debut its first major crossover event - and it's an all-Sega affair. The battle royale title is bringing together iconic characters from across Sega's history in a special pre-release celebration.
Classic Sega Characters Join the Fray
From now until May 7th, players in soft launch regions can claim the Werewolf from Altered Beast for free. Sega Star Event Pass subscribers gain access to additional characters including:
- The powerful Weredragon (Altered Beast)
- Sega's original mascot Opa-Opa (Fantasy Zone)
The in-game Ring Shop will feature Upa-Upa and Werebear, while Super Monkey Ball favorites AiAi and MeeMee appear in the Red Star Ring Shop.
Just the Beginning of Crossover Content
Sega confirms this marks the start of an ambitious crossover roadmap for Sonic Rumble. While unusual before official launch, this event gives early players exclusive access to rare retro characters.
In other mobile gaming news, Finnish developer Supercell prepares for another rare release. Don't miss our Mo.co preview - the quirky monster-hunting simulator coming soon to iOS and Android.
Note: Event availability may vary by region during soft launch period.
