Sphere Defense: A Minimalist Tower Defense Experience Now Available

Developer Tomoki Fukushima has launched Sphere Defense, a new tower defense game for mobile devices. The game tasks players with defending Earth from waves of enemies using strategically placed units and towers.

While adhering to the core tower defense gameplay loop – strategic unit placement, resource collection for upgrades, and increasing difficulty levels – Sphere Defense distinguishes itself with its minimalist aesthetic and vibrant neon visuals.

Success in each level grants resources to upgrade units, leading to victory. Mastering the game allows for high scores by completing levels without taking damage.

Fukushima cites the classic tower defense game geoDefense by David Whatley as inspiration, highlighting its simple yet engaging design.
