by Andrew May 15,2025

Following a recent leak, EA has officially unveiled the title of its upcoming Star Wars game: Star Wars: Zero Company. This exciting new addition to the Star Wars gaming universe is being crafted by the newly-formed Bit Reactor studio, with collaborative support from Lucasfilm Games and Respawn. The game promises to deliver a unique gaming experience as a "single-player turn-based tactics game."

The image above is the first and only official artwork released so far for Star Wars: Zero Company. While details are still sparse, fans won't have to wait long for more information. EA has scheduled a first look at the game on April 19 at Star Wars Celebration in Japan.

Bit Reactor, established in 2022, is a strategy game studio comprised of industry veterans who have previously worked on acclaimed titles such as XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online. Although it was known that Bit Reactor was developing a Star Wars game in collaboration with Respawn, this is the first time concrete details about the project have been shared.

The extent of Respawn's involvement remains somewhat ambiguous. The studio has faced significant challenges recently, including the cancellation of its own Star Wars FPS project a year ago, accompanied by substantial layoffs at EA, and the termination of another multiplayer FPS incubation project just last month.

For those eager to learn more, a live panel dedicated to Star Wars: Zero Company is set for Saturday, April 19 at 4:30pm local time in Japan. For viewers in the U.S., that translates to 12:30am PT and 3:30am ET, so be sure to set your alarms if you don't want to miss out on the latest updates.
