Uno! Mobile Gets Beyond Color Update

by Oliver Apr 02,2025

Mattel163, a leading mobile game developer, has rolled out an innovative update across three of its popular card games: Phase 10: World Tour, UNO! Mobile, and Skip-Bo Mobile. The Beyond Colors update introduces colorblind-friendly decks, enhancing the inclusivity and accessibility of these games. The new decks feature cards where traditional colors are represented by distinct shapes such as squares, triangles, circles, and stars, making it easier for colorblind players to differentiate between them.

To activate the Beyond Colors feature, players can simply tap their avatar in-game to access their account settings and enable the new deck under the card theme options. This update is a significant step towards making Mattel163's titles more accessible to a broader audience, including the approximately 300 million people worldwide who experience colorblindness, according to the Cleveland Clinic.

In developing these inclusive decks, Mattel163 collaborated with gamers, including those with color vision deficiencies, ensuring the symbols are consistent across all three games for ease of use. Mattel has also set an ambitious goal to make 80% of its games portfolio colorblind accessible by 2025, demonstrating a strong commitment to inclusivity.

UNO! Mobile offers the classic card game experience where players race to discard all their cards. Phase 10: World Tour challenges players to complete phases as quickly as possible, while Skip-Bo Mobile provides a unique twist on the traditional solitaire game. All three games are available for download on the App Store and Google Play.
