Reaching Bloodmoon Island in Divinity: Original Sin 2
Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and with its connecting bridge destroyed, presents a significant challenge in Divinity: Original Sin 2. This guide outlines several methods to overcome this obstacle and access the island's quests and storyline advancements.
Method 1: The Spirit Bridge
The remnants of the destroyed bridge, northeast of Cloisterwood, are visible using Spirit Vision. Crossing requires overcoming gaps. Several options exist:
- Gloves of Teleportation: These allow repeated teleportations across the gaps, though time-consuming.
- Translocation Skills: Skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat enable teleporting, but depend on party composition.
- Teleporter Pyramids: Two pyramids allow one character to cross using translocation, then the rest teleport to their location.
- Fast Travel: A character with translocation reaches the island waypoint, enabling the rest of the party to fast travel.
Method 2: The Undead Ferry
Located northwest of Cloisterwood, an undead ferryman offers passage across the Deathfog. However, this is a trap; only undead characters like Fane survive the journey.
- With Fane: Fane can take the ferry alone, reach the waypoint, and then allow the rest of the party to fast travel.
- Without Fane: This requires at least two Teleporter Pyramids. One character takes the ferry (dying in the process), the second pyramid teleports the rest to them, and resurrection spells revive the fallen companion. This is less efficient than using the bridge.
Note: Avoid attacking the Undead Ferryman unless prepared. He retaliates with a potentially lethal Deathfog spell. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3,750 XP. Consider a quick save beforehand.
The bridge method is generally recommended if Fane isn't in your party, providing the fastest access to Bloodmoon Island.
