World of Warcraft has unveiled the schedule for the latest Turbulent Timeways event, featuring seven consecutive weeks of Timewalking campaigns. From now until February 24, the game will cycle through every Timewalking expansion, offering players the opportunity to earn new rewards, accumulate Timewarped Badges, and benefit from a significant experience buff.
Introduced in September 2023, the Turbulent Timeways event initially spanned five weeks of Timewalking campaigns. Alongside regular quests and activities, players could acquire a stackable buff. After completing four Timewalking dungeons, this buff upgraded to Mastery of Timeways, providing a 20% experience boost. Those who achieved this buff across all five weeks earned the Master of the Turbulent Timeways achievement and the Sandy Shalewing pet.
Now, the Turbulent Timeways event returns with an expanded schedule. Over the next seven weeks, players will engage with a different Timewalking campaign each week, starting with Mists of Pandaria on January 7 and concluding with Cataclysm the week of February 18. Each week will feature the usual quests, dungeons, and raids, plus the return of the stackable Mastery of Timeways buff.
World of Warcraft Turbulent Timeways Event Schedule
- January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
- January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
- January 21-27: Legion
- January 28-February 3: Classic
- February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
- February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
- February 18-24: Cataclysm
Players who achieve Mastery of Timeways for five out of the seven weeks will earn the Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2 achievement, which comes with the charming Timely Buzzbee mount. Timewalking vendors for each expansion will have new permanent items in their inventory, such as Season of Discovery-themed World of Warcraft transmogs at the Classic vendor. During the event, they will also offer the Sandy Shalewing for those who missed the previous Turbulent Timeways. Additionally, the Cache of Nerubian Treasures, awarded for completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest, will provide Heroic gear throughout the event.
The World of Warcraft 20th anniversary event, which concluded recently, featured 11 consecutive weeks of Timewalking campaigns. Combined with the Turbulent Timeways, players will experience 18 weeks of continuous Timewalking.
The end date of the Turbulent Timeways event also hints at future updates. The last campaign ends on February 24, suggesting that World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, Undermined, may release on February 25. This aligns with the typical eight-week release schedule, factoring in the holiday season, and follows 10 weeks after Patch 11.0.7. With the Turbulent Timeways, the second run of Plunderstorm from January 14 to February 17, and the first major content update for The War Within shortly after, World of Warcraft is set to kick off 2025 with an exciting lineup of events.
