This guide delves into befriending the enigmatic Dwarf in Stardew Valley. While not as rewarding as other villager friendships, it adds a unique, fantastical element to your gameplay. Recent updates (1.5 and 1.6) have altered friendship mechanics, impacting gift preferences and social interactions.
Locating the Dwarf
The Dwarf resides in the mines, behind a boulder on the first floor (easily destroyed with a copper pickaxe or bomb).
Unlocking Communication
The Dwarf speaks Dwarvish. To understand him, donate all four Dwarf Scrolls to the Museum. Gunther will then reward you with a translation guide.
Gift Giving
Friendship is built through gifts (two per week). His birthday (Summer 22nd) doubles the friendship points gained.
