Written by Nick Winn and illustrated by Winn and Derek Ballard, "Adventure Time #1" picks up after the animated series finale. The first story arc, titled "Best of Buds," promises a return to the hilarious and emotionally resonant storytelling that defined the original show.

Winn expressed his excitement about revisiting the Land of Ooo, stating, "Adventure Time was such a huge part of my childhood. It was hilarious and emotionally intelligent, something rare for shows back then. Working with Oni Press to create something new while maintaining the show's energy and charm has been a joy and a challenge."

Series editor Megan Brown added, "We're thrilled to bring readers back to the Land of Ooo for new adventures with their favorite characters. The land has a rich comic book history, and we're excited to add to it with this incredible team. 'Best of Buds' is perfect for new and old fans alike!"
