While we were aware that Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch and Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange would not be part of the film, the exclusion of other characters is particularly striking, especially considering the film's ambitious scope as a grand crossover event featuring the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four.
