Patch 8: A Feature-Packed Finale

Patch 8 is touted as one of the final major updates before Larian moves on from Faerûn. It includes significant additions, necessitating the stress test. Key features include:

  • Cross-play: Play with friends across different platforms.
  • 12+ New Subclasses: Explore new character builds, including the Death Domain Cleric, Path of Giants Barbarian, and Arcane Archer Fighter.
  • Photo Mode: A highly customizable photo mode allows for creative screenshots.

Unleash Your Inner Photographer with Photo Mode

A sneak peek video showcases the extensive capabilities of the new Photo Mode. Accessible almost anywhere, it allows for precise character posing, free camera movement, and post-processing effects, stickers, and frames. While dialogue and cutscenes restrict pose manipulation, post-processing remains available. Larian promises further tutorials to unlock the full potential of Photo Mode.

Only players participating in the stress test can currently access these improvements. The official release date for Patch 8 remains unannounced.
