How To Break & Repair a Broken Object in The Sims 4 Blast From the Past Event

by Aiden Mar 01,2025

The Sims 4's Blast from the Past event presents players with rewarding yet challenging tasks. One particularly tricky challenge involves breaking and repairing an object. This guide provides a straightforward solution.

Week 2's challenge requires raising your Sim's Handiness skill to level 2 or higher and then repairing a broken object. While skill improvement is relatively simple, locating a broken item proves more difficult. The easiest method is to intentionally break something.

Instead of using the "prank" interaction (which requires specific traits), repeatedly using an inexpensive item will eventually cause it to break. The Ambassador toilet is an economical choice; using it approximately a dozen times will lead to a malfunctioning toilet. This can be accomplished by your Sim or invited guests.

Repairing the broken object is straightforward once your Sim's Handiness skill reaches level 2. Simply select the "Repair" option on the broken item. The repair process takes a short time, after which the toilet will be fixed, completing the challenge.
