Clash Royale Shreds Christmas Cards, Rewarding Players

by Simon Feb 10,2025

Clash Royale's research highlights a decline in Christmas card popularity: six in ten adults receive fewer cards, and a significant 79% express indifference. Over 40% even hope this trend persists.

To tap into this "festive fatigue," Clash Royale is hosting a London pop-up event at Boxpark Shoreditch. Participants can shred unwanted Christmas cards in exchange for in-game rewards, offering a guilt-free alternative to discarding them.

This anti-Christmas sentiment extends beyond cards. Clash Royale's research reveals that 20% of respondents actively dislike Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You," and over 20% have voiced complaints about Christmas music in public or opted for beef instead of turkey.

ytThe anti-Christmas spirit even reaches Clash Royale's content creators. YouTubers, such as Orange Juice Gaming, are receiving humorous, intentionally awful gifts (think socks, oven mitts, and nail clippers) packaged with Clash Royale-themed wrapping paper containing in-game rewards for fans.

If you're in London and feeling overwhelmed by the holiday season, this event provides a fun and rewarding way to vent your frustrations. Download Clash Royale for free using the links below and visit the official website for details.
